Seeing as it’s Halloween I felt inspired to come up with a workout from hell…
It goes a little something like this:
- Set a timer for 2 mins. Get into a high plank position do a push-up every 5 seconds, holding your plank in-between, until the 2 mins is up. Doesn’t sound too bad does it? Try it.
- Grab two kettlebells (same size please) Do the following: 6 swings, 6 cleans, 6 front squats, 6 shoulder press, 6 snatches, 6 thrusters – do 6 rounds, rest as necessary. If you don’t know what any of these exercises are, grab one of the Hiscoes trainers to show you how.
- Set a timer for another 2 mins, and find yourself a chin-up bar. Sub TRX rows for chin-ups if you can’t do chin-ups. This time there’s no rest, just do as many chin-ups as you possibly can in 2 mins.
- Finish off with abs. Let’s got for a version of 300 abs. 30 x crunches, 20 x bicycle crunches, 30 x toe-touches, 20 x reverse crunches, 15 x side-plank hip lifts L, 30 x crunches, 15 x side-plank hip lifts R, 40 x Russian twists, 30 x bicycle crunches, 15 x oblique v-ups L, 20 x reverse crunches, 15 x oblique v-ups R, 10 leg lifts
