FREE GYM all weekend! Fri June 17 through to Monday June 20

Try Hiscoes for FREE on Friday, June 17, Saturday June 18, Sunday June 19 or Monday June 20. Try a new class like Hula-hooping or Hollaback, have a hit of squash, give yoga a go or simply partner up for a free workout in the gym. We will have an additional BodyPump running on Saturday morning to make sure there’s enough space for everyone and we’re also going to have CaliPress dropping by with cold pressed juices and two for one smoothie vouchers. Rob from Peak Health Services will be treating you with mini-massages and we are giving away a month of Group Personal Training. On Sunday, we will host a Paradox Activewear pop-up shop. It’s sure to be a great weekend of fitness and a chance to beat the winter blues. And best of all it’s FREE ALL WEEKEND.

HIP HOP HULA HOOPS

A dance style class with hooping skills stretching and core work!

Focus:  Full body workout, focused on toning & is loads of FUN.

Intensity: Medium / Duration: 60 minutes

Best For: Weight loss, improve fitness and fun

FRIDAY JUNE 17 @ 6.30PM

A fun and energetic class where you can learn to hula hoop while working your muscles, set to a funky hip hop soundtrack. The class structure is casual and welcomes hula hoopers of all skill levels (even if you’ve never picked one up before). Learn how to hoop on your arms, legs, waist and neck while shaking your booty to some of the finest hip hop tracks, with a little soul and funk thrown in the mix. All hoops provided, bring a bottle of water and a thirst to learn and laugh.

Mum’s and Bubs Pilates

A relaxed and baby friendly Pilates class focusing on the areas mums need to concentrate on most

Focus:

Rebuilding the core and pelvic floor muscles, improving posture and increasing strength

Intensity: Low-Medium / Duration: 60 minutes

Best For:

Ideally for post natal period 0 – 6 months. There will be help available to get the prams inside, but if you can bring a baby carrier, that would be great. Please bring a little blanket or play mat for your baby. If we have enough interest for this class we are hoping to have an ongoing mums and bubs class at this time or a another time that suits the group.

BEER & BELLS

Join Mac in the MyGym Studio for a beer and some heavy-lifting. A social lifting session where you can have a go at your 1Rep Max Lifts.

Focus: Heavy Singles

Intensity: Low-Medium / Duration: 90 minutes

Best For: People who have some experience lifting and want to have a go at a personal best, in their deadlift, bench press or squat.

Lynsey will take you through a sweaty session aimed at getting the heart rate high.

Focus: Total Body Workout

Intensity: High / Duration: 45 minutes

Best For: People who have some experience in group exercise and want to take it up a notch. Not suitable for beginners or people with injuries

HOLLABACK

A cross between Hip Hop/High cardio/and 90’s grooves Hollaback is the class you go to because you’ve never danced before or you dance all the time (on a saturday night, in your loungeroom/bedroom/at the bus stop)

Focus: Booty Shakin Fun

Intensity: Medium-High / Duration: 45  minutes

Best For: ’People who’ve “always wanted to go to a dance class” and because dance is fun/great for your mind/body/booty/life!

SATURDAY @ 9AM & SUNDAY @ 9.30AM

A fantastic heart-pumping workout. Taught on a stationary bike you will climb, sprint, and train your way through 45 mins to great music and instruction. Get ready to get sweaty in Spin and enjoy the ride.

NEW BODY CLASS DESCRIPTION

A simple total body workout for all levels

Focus: Overall fitness and body conditioning

Intensity: Medium / Duration: 45 minutes

Best For: Total body workout and people new to classes

MONDAY @ 6.15PM

No coordination necessary! An interval training exercise class consisting of high-rep and low weight strength training, body-weight exercises and cardio interval bursts, suitable for all levels.

Pilates mat classes for toning stretching and working the entire body

Best For: Core stability and developing lean muscle

SATURDAY 8AM

A series of mat-work exercises based on the work of Joseph Pilates aimed at strengthening and lengthening muscles with a focus on the body core. Get ready to transform into a new, more balanced, straighter you.

A traditional Vinyasa Style Yoga Class

Focus: Elongated muscles and developing a stable balanced core

Intensity:Medium / Duration: 60 minutes

Best For: Stretching tight muscles and reducing stress

YOGA FUNDAMENTALS @ 3PM SUNDAY

POWER YOGA @ 4PM SUNDAY

A traditional yoga class integrating postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to harmonize you on every level – body, mind and spirit. Stretch and strengthen your body and calm your mind. This open weekend we are offering a yoga fundamentals class to give beginners the chance to try yoga. In the Power Yoga Class a more dynamic style of yoga is offered, combining movement and breath in powerful sequences, designed to help you release the everyday stresses of life. Power yoga is open to all levels, however those more experienced will be able to explore their practice deeper through challenging postures and balances.
